The all new Panoramic Gimbal Head from Jobu Design is made for landscape and VR photographers seeking an affordable and well made support solution for creating stitched images.
The PGH-1 is made of 100% CNC machined billet aluminum. All components are black anodized for extremely long wear characteristics. All components have scales that are permanently laser engraved (in both MM and Degrees).
The PGH-1 consists of a panning horizontal arm with 0-360 degree markings at each 7.5 degrees. A soft rubberized control knob locks in the position and a green bubble level assists with levelling the platform on your tripod.
The vertical arm uses a premium wing-knob for strong lockout force for adjusting the offset from your camera base to the center of the panning horiztonal arm. It uses another soft-touch control knob with roller bearings to adjust the vertical tilt angle in 5 degree markings.
The kit also includes our SF-CP1 Surefoot Clamping plate with 0-100mm scale that allows for nodal point adjustment for standard size lenses (from fish-eye to wide-angle to moderate telephoto). FYI - Larger lenses with tripod collars (such as most telephotos) do not necessarily need the clamping plate, they should use a lensfoot or a sufficiently long lensplate to find the nodal point of your lens.
We include on SF-BP1 camera mounting plate for small SLR's and digicams to get you going right out of the box. We do recommend to buy the SF-BP2, BP200 or BP300 or other custom plates if using a larger Pro size D-SLR camera to prevent body twist.
