WAA-2 Wide Angle Adapter Bracket 2

The New Wide-Angle-Adapter 2 (WAA-2) has been completely redesigned to allow photographers to quickly and easily mount a camera-body directly to a gimbal (in both portrait and landscape formats). It can also double as a monopod tilt-head with its integrated 3/8"-16 threaded base.

When equipped with the WAA-2 on an outing a telephoto lens shoot doesn't have to limited to long distance shots. Carry your wide angle lens with you and simply pop the WAA-2 into the Quick-Release of your gimbal head and you can directly mount your SLR camera, Point-and-Shoot camera or video camera.

Features:

Mounts into any Arca-Swiss compatible quick release. The square base may be mounted left-right or front-rear.
The WAA-2 is pre-tensioned to 5lb capacity which means it is positionable in both portrait and landscape formats (and all angles in between) without needing to tighten any knobs.
Locking down the soft-touch rubber knob will hold over 20lbs of weight.
Useable on either swing-arm style gimbals or side-mount gimbal Quick-Release systems.
Includes a 2.5" Integrated Quick-Release for mounting to your equipment.
Includes the SF-BP1 body plate to get your started, in case you do not have a custom Arca-Swiss plate to mount to your camera bodies. Custom plates are recommended for heavy Pro-DSLR cameras to prevent twisting.
Maximum weight capacity of 20lbs.
All aircraft aluminum and stainless steel construction.
Requires:

Gimbal head with Arca-Swiss compatible quick release (if used on a gimbal head)
Arca-Swiss style plate for the camera or lens to be installed on the WAA-2. ONE (1) SF-BP1 is included to get you started.
Also compatible with any 3/8"-16 threaded monopod or tripod.

This is the only adapter I've found that combines the square mount plate, beveled on all four sides and a hinged joint for portrait mode. Without this, going from a ball head to a gimbal head with an SLR with a non-collared lens is very messy, especially when you want to do portrait shots. The one inch square mount plate lets you mount your gear regardless of your gear's orientation. Now you just needs to be a little more compact and something I can leave mounted all the time. It does everything I want except reduce how much I have to carry around.
